Sheikh Hamada Mbazira, the County Sheikh of Kashari in Mbarara district, extended his congratulations to all Muslims for completing the month of Ramadan and wished them a happy Eid al-Fitr.
In his message, he emphasized the importance of maintaining exemplary discipline and patriotism as they participate in Eid prayers and encouraged them to support government initiatives aimed at promoting unity, peace, and economic development.
Mbazira also expressed gratitude to the government for establishing peace and security, which enables active community participation in government-funded programs like the Parish Development Model (PDM). These programs aim to increase household income, ensure food security, and alleviate poverty.
Former Mbarara district chairperson, Capt JB Timusiime Bamuturaki, also extended his best wishes to the Muslim community for the Eid celebrations. He commended their dedication to supporting government initiatives aimed at enhancing social welfare.
Capt Timusiime urged Muslims to continue prioritizing education for their children, emphasizing the importance of acquiring skills for job creation rather than merely seeking employment.
