Over 200 health workers and corporate organizations on Saturday participated in the marathon organized by Karoli Lwanga Institute of Health Sciences Nyakibale as an activation towards the silver Jubilee celebrations slated to take place on 29th July 2023 which will be used to mobilize funds towards the establishment of a complex block to the better learning environment. 
Runners started at the Institute premises and proceeded to Rukungiri town – Rwakabengo – Marumba trading center back to the Institute whereas walkers started at the Institute premises and proceeded to Rukungiri town – Kihindi – Heritage to Nyakibale Lower Primary School road back to the Institute.

Karoli Lwanga Institute of Health Sciences is looking forward to mobilizing over 900 million to construct a complex block that will host a computer Laboratory, Lecture rooms, and a skills center to mark the Anniversary and improve the standards of the school.
Speaking as chief runner Steven Nsubuga Bewayo the Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner commended the staff and students for exhibiting a high level of discipline that has developed the institute to produce quality medics.
Father Baritazari Ndyomugabe of Nyakibale Parish who doubles as the chaplain of the institute revealed that they organized the marathon to create awareness about the program of the Anniversary celebrations and asked people to give the necessary support for the success of the event.
Deputy Principal Kurinampa Provia has retaliated that they decided to construct a complex block as the mark for the 50th Anniversary and prepare enough space for the increased number of students.
The representatives of the Rotary Club Amos Mugisha and Twinomujuni Wycliff Makky as well as Dr Asaph Byamugisha from Lions Club rallied people to always embrace functions planned to promote healthy and pledged support for the success of the forthcoming event.
