A delegation from the Kanungu District Executive Committee, led by District Chairperson Eng. Sam Arinaitwe Kajojo conducted a comprehensive monitoring of the ongoing projects.
The inspection covered several crucial projects which include the mechanized improvement of Rwakihitira community access road in Kinaaba sub-county 5km, installation of an existing 1800mm diameter steel culvert along Kyamugaga Bikomero road, mechanized route maintenance of Muramba – Rugyeyo road and maternity ward at Ntungamo health center 3 among other projects.
During the inspection, Eng. Sam Kajojo lauded the progress achieved thus far, acknowledging the need for improvements in certain culverts.
He applauded the community for actively participating in project oversight and encouraged them to continue advocating for their interests.
Betega David, the CAO of Kanungu, expressed his gratitude for the collective effort in monitoring government projects, despite the challenging terrain of Kinaaba.
He emphasized the economic impact of improved road infrastructure, enabling the community to access the market for their agricultural produce.
CAO stressed the significance of grasping the scope of work by the community and urged them to contribute to environmental protection by planting trees along the road.
