A hit and run fatal accident in Kabale town yesterday claimed the life of a 17 year old cyclist.
According to Elly Maate the Kigezi region police spokesman, the accident involved an unknown double cabin pick up and a pedal cyclist identified as Ayinebyona Elvis of Nyakijumba, Kabale municipality / district.
Maate says the accident occurred on 30/9/2022 at 19:20hrs at Nyakijumba bridge along Kabale -Mbarara highway.
Police was notified, scene was visited, and body retrieved by the relatives from the hospital before postmortem and taken to their home at Nyakijumba.
Efforts to trace the vehicle are underway
