Four primary schools under the Islamic faith in Rukungiri District have started a set of mock exams prepared by the office of the District Kadhi, Rukungiri District.
This was revealed by the Rukungiri District Kadhi, Sheik Abdul Malik Byaruhanga Kayole, while addressing the press this afternoon. He explained that his office developed this idea of setting special mock exams to improve their schools’ performance, which is still wanting.
He added that these exams aim to enhance the performance of pupils in the PLE final exams to compete at the national level. His office will conduct these exams annually, geared towards improving the performance of Islamic schools in Rukungiri District.
The four schools are Rukungiri Primary School in Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality; Kuwait Primary School; Kiborogota Primary School; and Rwakanyenjero Primary School in Kebisoni Town Council and Sub County, respectively.
Silage Kiconco, the head teacher of Rukungiri Primary School, thanked the office of the District Kadhi for considering their schools by setting up a special mock exam, which will help their pupils perform well in their final exams.
A section of pupils who sat for these exams told our reporter that most of the questions in the papers were from the work they have already studied, and therefore they hope for better results.
These exams that started today will be completed tomorrow, marked on Wednesday and Thursday, and the results will be released on Friday by the office of the District Kadhi at Kuwait Primary School in Kebisoni Town Council.
District Kadhi Sheik Abdul Malik Byaruhanga says other schools needing the set of exams can consult his office.
