The Rukungiri Chief Administrative Officer Hajj Masokoyi Wasswa Swalikh has rubbished reports that he was dropped due to audit queries and asked Civil servants of Rukungiri district to continue cooperating with him.
He was yesterday addressing Primary school Headteachers from Rukungiri district during a one-day induction organized to discuss the challenges encountered in the ongoing Uganda Primary Leaving Examinations registration exercise.
A recently introduced electronic registration process in which centers are required to use the candidates’ birth certificates for the avoidance of doubt regarding the date of birth has raised concern among head teachers
Masokoyi Wasswa noted that it was a mistake for his name to appear on the list of those Accounting officers who were dropped and asked Civil servants of Rukungiri district to ignore any information related to that and focus on service delivery.
He also challenged teachers to stop wasting time complaining about low pay and engage in production by initiating cottage industries to supplement their salaries.
The Rukungiri District principal Inspector of Schools Lydia Tushemereirwe charged Headteachers to cooperate with parents and ensure every candidate is registered before the deadline which falls on 31st May 2023.
