The Former Rujumbura county MP Hon. Fred Turyamuhweza has challenged authorities in born-again churches to start some developmental projects at their respective churches that will always put them in a position to do other developments.
He said this on Sunday while addressing congregants at Omwitaaba Pentecostal church in Ndere parish, Ruhinda sub-county Rukungiri district where Christians gathered to raise funds to support the ongoing project of church construction.
Hon. Turyamuhweza said that it is important for churches to start projects that can enable them to do better things like constructing churches and having an income.
He hailed the authorities of Omwitaaba Pentecostal church for Organizing to build a church that need a lot of money which he said signalize hard work.
Elias Rundemire, the chairperson Construction committee in this church said that the whole project that started in 2020 initially needed 110 million but so far, only 38 million is needed to accomplish the project.
The function was also attended by the former Rukungiri woman MP Hon. Bamukwasa Betty Muzanira who urged women to invest in projects like poultry to enhance the income of their families.
A total of 5,710,000 was collected to support the project.
