Police in Mitooma District are investigating circumstances under which a 75-year-old man died in a road accident.

Stephen Tingariho 75  a pedestrian and a resident of  Ijumo village in, Mitooma district was knocked dead by a speeding motorcycle registration number UFD 337U  Bajaj Boxer Red in colour. 

It’s alleged that the said motorcycle was coming from Kashenshero market heading in the direction of Kashenshero town center upon reaching the health center three, the boda boda rider was overspeeding and knocked the deceased.

The deceased was rushed to Kashenshero Health Center Three, Later the condition was out of hand, and he was taken to Kampala International Teaching Hospital in  Ishaka where he died.

Macial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson confirmed the incident and said a team of detectives was dispatched to the scene the rider is on the run and inquiries are ongoing.
