Rukungiri Municipality legislator, Hon. Dr. Elisa Rutahirwa, yesterday fulfilled his pledge of 50 bags of cement to All Saints Church Rukungiri to support the ongoing construction of a commercial building along Rubabo Road.
The donation was received by Rev. Amos Musinguzi, the Vicar of All Saints Church Rukungiri, who expressed gratitude to the legislator for his generosity in giving back and supporting church projects.
Rev. Amos acknowledged that the cement would accelerate the construction, which is currently at the first-floor level. He commended Hon. Rutahirwa for his honesty and encouraged him to continue supporting the church, assuring him that God would reward his kindness.
Hon. Dr. Elisa Rutahirwa stated that after being approached for support, he had committed to contributing to the construction and was pleased to fulfill his pledge on February 26, 2025.
He commended All Saints Church and its congregation for the progress made on the project so far and applauded the church committee overseeing the construction for their dedication.
Dr. Rutahirwa expressed hope that the first floor of the building would be completed within the year, enabling the church to generate income to support other projects.
