A serious accident occurred today in Bagahwe cell along the Rukungiri-Bikurungu-Kanungu new tarmacked road, when a fuel tanker overturned and ignited a fire. The incident has prompted a swift response from local authorities and emergency services.

According to Apollo Kyagungu, the District Police Commander (DPC) of Rukungiri, both the driver and the turn man have been successfully rescued and are now out of immediate danger. However, the cause of the accident and the full extent of the damage are still under investigation.
