KABALE– Kabale grade one magistrate court on Thursday charged and remanded four men accused of murdering Cornrad Ninsiima a resident of Nyarukonkoromi cell, Rushaki ward, Southern division in Kabale Municipality on May 15th, 2023.
Prosecution told court presided over by Kabale grade one magistrate, her worship Rechael Tabaruka that Ben Kakuru, Sam Niwahereza, the manager of standard hotel, Medard Atwebembeire, Amos Turinawe ,a resident of Nyamweru sub-county and others still at large on 15th May 2023 while at Kigongi Cell B in Kabale Municipality with malice caused the death of Conrad Ninsiima contrary to section 188 and 189 of the penal code act.
When the charges were read for them, Tabaruka never allowed them to take a plea, saying that the case is capital in nature and it is only tried by the high court according to court procedures.
She remanded them to Ndorwa government prison in Kabale district until 4th July 2023 when the case will come up for mention.
Tabaruka said that investigations are still going on until the case is committed to the High Court.
Ninsiima, 30 years old electrician on 17th May 2023 was found murdered and dumped in Nyamabare cell, Rushaki ward, Kabale Municipality before he was slaughtered at Bombocha bar and lodges in Kigongi ward, Central division, in Kabale Municipality.
This forced police in Kabale district to arrest the proprietor of Bombocha Bar and Lodges, Pasiono Besigye, and his other two staff members, however, Pasiono Besigye, was later released.
