Police in Rubirizi District over on Saturday arrested four leaders of Muyenga ward Saaco in Katerera town council, in connection with the misappropriation of Parish Development Modal funds.

According to Mr. Bron Kikanshemeza the Rubirizi District RDC, the district security team got information that Muyenga ward Saaco received 108 million and only seventy people benefited from the funds which is against the terms and conditions.

Mr Marcial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson confirmed the arrest and said that they have initiated investigations to ascertain the truth of the matter. He  identified the suspects as Coleb Katungi, Godfrey Asiimwe, John Bikangango, and Godfrey Twesigye

The Parish Development Model program is a development strategy devised under Uganda’s third National Development Plan to 39% impact on poor Ugandans.

It uplifts household incomes and enhances the quality of life for Ugandan households still reliant on subsistence farming.

The program was launched by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on February 26th 2022 in Kibuku.

    Your Comment *let them be arrested Atleast other PDM board members could learn from them.Some pdm officials have refused to sign for us,just because our national identification cards deffer from the district we live in yet we are almost 8 years living in this district (katerera t/c) rubirizi district
