The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) from the greater Bushenyi region on Saturday vowed to shun away from the party’s internal elections organized by their embattled secretary general Mr Nandala Mafabi.
This was during a meeting held at Valley Inn in Bushenyi District where members from the five Districts greater Bushenyi region of Mitooma, Bushenyi, Rubirizi, Buhweju, and Sheema.
He added that they are not going to support a system that’s not democratic yet the name Forum for Democratic Change is a party that promises democracy into the greater part of the scale.
Ms Federika Nshemerirwe the former Bushenyi District Woman aspirant said the party is facing tough times that require everybody’s attention to overcome.
She added they are getting phone calls from different people at the grassroots level asking whether the top leadership has sold the party to President Yoweri Museveni.
Mr Guma Gumisiriza Gastus the FDC party chairman of Bushenyi District said the party is facing several challenges like inadequate funds but Nandala and party President Mr Patrick Oboi are using the name of the party to satisfy their selfish interests.
Mr William Mukaira the proprietor of Valley University and Valley College in Bushenyi District and one of the oldest founder members of FDC said General Secretaries of different political parties have dirty and greedy records.
