Leaders of the opposition party FDC in Rukungiri district assert that despite rumors of its imminent collapse, the party remains robust in the region.
During the party conference of the western division in Rukungiri Municipality at Town View Gardens in Bwooma Trading Center, Aloysious Mugarura, the district FDC party chairperson, reassured attendees of the party’s strength and potential. He emphasized his efforts to foster unity among sub-county party leaders to pursue the common goal of Uganda’s liberation.
Mugarura urged members to uphold the party’s values, including equality, peace, economic transformation, and anti-corruption efforts. He encouraged those aspiring for leadership roles to prepare diligently, advocating for a peaceful selection process to avoid division.
As district party leaders, Mugarura and his team are actively engaging with sub-counties, emphasizing unity and reminding members of FDC’s core principles.
Peter Tuhiirwe, the FDC party chairperson for the western division, commended members for their commitment to the party’s vision of fostering positive change for all Ugandans, regardless of race or religion. He emphasized the importance of teamwork for the party’s success.
Former Rukungiri district woman MP, Bamukwatsa Betty Muzanira, warned against succumbing to temptations, particularly the lure of money, which could compromise members’ loyalty to the party. She urged FDC members to resist greed and remain steadfast in their support.
