Father Emmanuel Mucunguzi, the Assistant Priest at Kishariro Catholic Church in Nyamunuka Town Council, Ntungamo District, has urged parents to invest in their children to receive support in their old age.
In his sermon, on Saturday, 14th September 2024, during the send-off Mass for Mzee Domaro Ngozisha in Obushenyi Cell, Kyafoora Parish, Rugarama North Sub County, Ntungamo District, Father Mucunguzi praised the exemplary care Mzee Domaro received from his children.
He attributed this care to Mzee Domaro’s investment in his children’s upbringing. He called on all parents to prioritize nurturing their children, ensuring they will be well cared for in their elderly years.
Alex Domaro Kadingo, one of the deceased’s sons, shared his father’s long battle with cancer, explaining that despite receiving treatment, no recovery was possible due to the severity of the illness.
Mzee Domaro Ngozisha succumbed to prostate cancer at the age of 80. He is survived by his widow, nine children, 18 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
