In Kabale District, 216 cows, and 100 sheep and goats were slaughtered in celebration of Eid al-Adha.
The event, observed by Kabale District Khadi Sheikh Kabu Lule and Kabale Resident District Commissioner Godfrey Nyakahuma, took place at Ndorwa Secondary School. The slaughter was led by Fatih Turan, a good Samaritan who brought the animals from Turkey.
Khadi Lule announced that the meat would be distributed to all mosques in Kabale, Rukiga, Rubanda, and Kisoro Districts. Additionally, it will be given to Muslim schools, and various institutions such as the police, prisons, UPDF, journalists, and community members.
He encouraged Muslims to share the meat with community members to embody the spirit of Eid al-Adha.
