Eng. Godfrey Nshabire, the director of Kinombe-Nyaruzinga Construction Company Limited, has refuted claims circulating in the media that he has caused delays in the construction of Kyaburere Primary School in Bugangari Sub County, Rukungiri District.

In an interview with our reporter yesterday, Eng. Nshabire addressed the criticisms, stating that on Tuesday, 23rd January 2024, certain news agencies wrongly accused him of failing to complete the construction at Kyaburere Primary School on time.

Nshabire clarified that he entered into a contract with Rukungiri District Local Government on 17th October 2023 to construct a 2-classroom block at Kyaburere Primary School within a six-month timeframe, concluding on 17th April 2024.

He further explained that by 17th March 2024, he had completed the third month of the project, and construction activities were still ongoing. Nshabire expressed his commitment to completing the roofing of the building by the end of the current week. He urged the public not to believe the misinformation circulating about him failing to meet the project deadline.

Additionally, Nshabire assured that he aims to finish the project by 10th February 2024.

Julius Bagira, the Rukungiri District Engineer, endorsed Kinombe-Nyaruzinga Construction Company Limited’s performance, dismissing allegations of delays. Bagira emphasized that the company is known for completing projects on time in Rukungiri District. He pledged to continue monitoring to ensure adherence to agreed-upon timelines.

Santurina Nahwera, the Rukungiri District Vice Chairperson, expressed optimism about the progress at Kyaburere Primary School. She stated that the district is confident the project will be completed on schedule.

Kinombe-Nyaruzinga Construction Company is actively involved in other projects in the district, such as constructing a 3-classroom block at Rwamagaya Primary School in Ruhinda Sub County and finalizing the construction of Kebisoni Seed Secondary School in Kebisoni Sub County, both located in Rukungiri District.
