Expressing frustration, they lamented the disruption in service delivery caused by these challenges. They criticized their leaders for making empty promises during election campaigns without addressing the pressing issues affecting their community.
Boda boda cyclists highlighted the difficulty of transporting people and goods to market centers due to the poor road conditions. They emphasized that the responsibility for maintaining the Rubabo road lies with the district authorities, urging them to take action to improve the situation.
Additionally, the residents described the hardship of coping with acute water scarcity, forcing them to travel long distances in search of water sources such as ponds and dams. This scarcity has compelled them to share water sources with animals, posing health risks and affecting their daily routines.
They emphasized the importance of access to clean water for domestic activities, expressing concern over the health risks associated with using contaminated water sources shared with animals.
