Mbarara district’s political leaders, along with a technical team led by RDC Turyabagyenyi Emmanuel Kateera, have expressed their appreciation for the construction progress at the Out Patients Department (OPD) block of Bwizibwera Health Center IV, Phase Two. The project, estimated to cost over 89 million shillings VAT inclusive, has been undertaken by M/S Multiple Enterprises and Services Company Limited, following the specified Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in the government-funded contract.
During a recent site visit and inspection at Bwizibwera Health Center IV in Bwizibwera Rutooma Town Council, Mbarara South, the monitoring team reported satisfactory progress, with about 80 percent of the work completed. The remaining work is expected to be finished within one month.
RDC Turyabagyenyi Kateera acknowledged the contractor’s adherence to the schedule and the quality of work done so far. However, he noted challenges such as delayed payments from the district government and inadequate water supply, which will be addressed.
Deputy Chief Administrative Officer of Mbarara District, Mrs. Tinka Betty, commended Multiple Enterprises and Services Company Limited for their cooperation and quality work. Saverius Nuwagira, Chairperson of the Works and Technical Services Sectoral Committee, urged political leaders to actively monitor government projects and provide necessary facilitation.
