Police in Bushenyi District are investigating the gruesome murder of a 26-year-old man in Nyamabare, Kyabugimbi Town Council.
According to Apollo Tayebwa, the Acting Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, around 4:00 AM. The deceased has been identified as Herbert Tumwiine, a resident of Nyamabare.
Tayebwa confirmed that police have arrested Rosette Tusiime, 29, the wife of the deceased, to assist with ongoing investigations. “Our officers visited the scene and collected initial evidence. The body has been taken to Kampala International University Teaching Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination,” Tayebwa stated.
Investigations are underway to establish the motive and exact circumstances surrounding Tumwiine’s death.
