Police in Buhweju District are hunting for a middle-aged man on allegations of killing his girlfriend.
Marcial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson identified the deceased as Rosemary Narinda 22 a bar maid and a resident of Rwenshuri village, Kashangura sub-county in Ibanda District.
Tumusiime further identified the suspect only as Bright, a son of one Bagumaho, a resident of Nyakitoma Village, Katara Parish in Buhweju District.
He said the incident happened on Thursday 10th August 2023 at around 11:30 pm, in Nyakitoma Village, Katara Parish, Karungu sub-county in Buhweju District.
It’s alleged that the police of Buhweju responded to Nyakitoma Village on information that there was a murder by stabbing.
It’s established that a lady was lying along the roadside with a stabbed wound on her chest between the breasts.
According to one Twasiima John Bosco, 34 years, a businessman, the deceased had a love relationship with the suspect, and on Wednesday night the suspect found the deceased at her workplace where he suspected her to be having relationships with other men.
The body was retrieved and taken to Nsiika Sub-District Hospital for postmortem as inquiries are ongoing.
