The Rt Rev Godfrey Mbitse, Bishop of the Diocese of Muhabura, delivered a stern admonition to the leaders of the Father’s Union within the Diocese, urging them to uphold truthfulness and diligence in their responsibilities. This charge was issued during the inauguration and commissioning ceremony held at the Diocesan headquarters in the Northern Division of Kisoro Municipality over the weekend.

Bishop Mbitse underscored the pivotal role of Father’s Union leaders in nurturing peace and harmony within their respective spheres of influence. He urged them to set an example of good discipline within their own families, recognizing the potential repercussions of lacking discipline, which could sow seeds of discord not only within their communities but also within their churches and the broader Diocese.

Dr. Sam Musominali, the newly elected president of the Father’s Union, affirmed his dedication to serving the community diligently. He drew attention to the challenges facing the boy child, particularly the significant disparities in access to necessities and education. Musominali vowed to tackle this issue directly, ensuring that the needs of boys receive due attention.

The Father’s Union was established with a clear vision of nurturing Christ-centered families led by exemplary Christian men. Its mission is to foster prosperity within families by instilling Christian values in men. The Union’s objectives include promoting the holistic growth of men, advocating for Christian marriages, nurturing family and church development, and providing guidance and counseling services.
