The Bishop of West Ankole Diocese, Johnson Twinomujuni, expressed gratitude on Friday towards Mary Karooro, the Presidential Advisor on Public Relations, for her exceptional contributions to the country’s development.
Bishop Twinomujuni praised Karooro, a former Minister for General Duties in the Prime Minister’s office, as a talented individual with skills in poetry and writing. He highlighted her effective management during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she successfully led efforts to collect donations, including funds.
These remarks were made during the commemoration of Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni’s seventh consecration anniversary at Bweranyangi Cathedral in Bushenyi District.
Karooro, in response, thanked Bishop Twinomujuni for his exemplary leadership and for fostering unity through the gospel. She described the seven-year anniversary as a testament to the significant impact of spreading the gospel.
Karooro emphasized the Diocese’s remarkable progress under Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni’s guidance, describing it as moving at an impressive pace in the right direction.
The Commissioner of Transport and Regulation at the Ministry of Works and Transport mentioned that the Diocese has initiated several projects during Bishop Twinomujuni’s tenure. Notably, projects such as the upgrade of Katungu Mission to a specialized hospital aim to propel the Diocese forward.
