The Bishop of South Ankole Diocese, Rt Rev Nathan Ahimbisibwe, has expressed gratitude towards the Government of Uganda, led by General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the First Lady Maama Janet Kataha Museveni, for their continuous support over the past 12 years of the diocese’s existence.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe extended his congratulations and appreciation to all religious teams, faiths, and Christians in Ntungamo district for their significant support in marking the 12th anniversary of the Diocese on January 8, 2024. He credited God for guiding the Diocesan team (EBENEZER) in fulfilling the mission entrusted to them in building a Diocese that glorifies God.
Taking to his social media platform on January 8, 2024, Bishop Ahimbisibwe highlighted the 12-year milestone since the inauguration of South Ankole Diocese, where he was consecrated and enthroned as its first bishop. He expressed gratitude to various entities, including the Archbishops of C.O.U, Brother Bishops, Archdeacons, Priests, Lay Readers, the Diocesan Synod, Diocesan Council, and The Boards, for their collective efforts.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe pledged to continue the work of building a Diocese that glorifies God and urged Christians to maintain their unwavering support for the diocese. South Ankole Diocese is comprised of 13 Archdeaconries and 62 parishes.
