The Right Reverend Nathan Ahimbisibwe, Bishop of South Ankole Diocese, urged Christians to refrain from engaging in devilish acts that degrade their bodies into a state akin to the living dead.

He delivered this challenge during his sermon on Sunday, February 25th, 2024, at the Baptism and thanksgiving service held at St. Peter’s Church of Uganda in Kahengye, within the Mahwa Church of Uganda, Bwongyera Archdeaconry, located in Kyabashenyi Ward, Nyamunuka Town Council, Ntungamo District.

Bishop Nathan Ahimbisibwe strongly denounced such malevolent practices, emphasizing their role in severing the bond with God and leading individuals into spiritual death.

Lilian Ahimbisibwe, the Bishop’s spouse, encouraged parents to serve as exemplars of devout Christians for their children and to prioritize their children’s education for a promising future.

Reverend Abel Amuheire, the Parish Priest of Mahwa Church of Uganda, warmly welcomed the consecration, highlighting the flourishing faith within his parish.

Benon Tukashaba, the head of Laity at Kahengye Church of Uganda, expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment of their church. The Thanksgiving ceremony garnered a total of over 3 million towards the church’s development.
