The Bishop of Kabale Diocese, the Rt Rev Callist Rubaramira, has urged Christians in Kabale District to embark on a journey of spiritual renewal as they observe Easter.
During his sermon at Our Lady of Good Shepherd, Rushoroza Cathedral in Kabale District, Bishop Rubaramira emphasized the importance of reconnecting with Jesus Christ. He emphasized that by renewing their commitment to Christ, Christians not only embody the virtues of Jesus but also secure eternal salvation. According to Bishop Rubaramira, life itself is a divine gift bestowed upon humanity out of God’s boundless love, particularly evident during the Easter celebration.
Encouraging introspection, Bishop Rubaramira urged Christians to reflect on aspects of their lives that may hinder their spiritual growth. He encouraged them to let go of worldly pleasures and instead focus on cultivating a life rooted in godly virtues. By doing so, Bishop Rubaramira affirmed, individuals pave the way for their lives to be rejuvenated in Christ, ultimately enabling them to partake in the kingdom of God.
With steadfast conviction, Bishop Rubaramira implored Christians to heed his call, emphasizing the transformative power of embracing a life centered on Christ. He urged Christians to embrace the spirit of renewal, allowing the teachings of Jesus to permeate their existence and guide their actions.
