Over 100 individuals were provided with complimentary non-communicable disease care services today, Monday, April 15, 2024, courtesy of Ankole Farmers and Traders SACCO Rukungiri Branch along Republic Road in Rukungiri Municipality.
The SACCO organized a free medical camp at its office premises as a gesture of gratitude to its clients and the general public. Testing and screening for HIV/AIDS, Diabetes, Hypertension, and Dental care were conducted by health experts from AAR Medical Center Kampala.
Mr. Sedu Sebyara, the Branch Manager, expressed appreciation for the large turnout of clients and highlighted that the camp was organized to contribute to the health standards of their clients. He emphasized the importance of routine medical checkups for overall well-being.
Mr. Tugume Johnson, a shoe repair service provider along Republic Road, welcomed the services as an opportunity for the disadvantaged. He called on other capable companies to prioritize organizing free medical camps to enhance health standards in their respective areas of operation.
Mr. Ahimbisibwe Innocent, a boda boda rider at Sena stage, acknowledged the significant turnout of disadvantaged individuals for awareness and access to relevant care services.
