Rukungiri district on Friday commissioned a 90,661,719 shilling head teachers residence at Kagunga seed secondary school in eastern Division Rukungiri municipality.
The Kagunga head teacher’s house project was contracted to Kinombe Nyaruzinga Construction Company Limited on 15th June 2022
Speaking at the commissioning of the project, Rukungiri district resident commissioner Stephen Nsubuga Bewayo challenged Kagunga seed secondary school administration to maintain and carefully look after the handed-over project because the government has invested a lot of money.
Rukungiri municipality Mayor Charles Makuru thanked Kagunga seed secondary school administration headed by the head teacher for uplifting the academic standard of the school, noting that in 2020 the school had an enrollment of 115 students and has 350 students now.
Hassan Semugenyi, the head teacher of Kagunga seed secondary school thanked the government for thinking about them and noted that this building will provide residence to teachers that have been traveling long distances to teach, hence improving academic performance.
Godfrey Nshabire the director Kinombe nyaruzinga Construction Company limited confirmed that he has done quality work and will repair any damages that happen to the commissioned building in six months
