Jovanith Ndazirya Rutekama, the 87-year-old mother of Natweta Mathias, also known as John Johns Rutekama and employed at Boona FM, celebrated a thanksgiving event on Wednesday at Kacwambiro C.O.U in Itojo Ntungamo district.
Expressing gratitude for the remarkable journey the Lord has guided her through, Jovanith finds it challenging to adequately describe the extent of His blessings.
Having entered into marriage in 1956, her path was fraught with challenges, particularly the struggle with barrenness. It took four years for God to bless Jovanith and her late husband, Adonia Rutekama, with the joy of 9 children.
The service, presided over by Rtd. Rev. Wilson Tumwebaze, emphasized the importance of Christians continually thanking God for the numerous blessings bestowed upon them.
As a gesture of appreciation, Jovanith and her family generously contributed 2,100,000 shillings to the church.
