The territorial police in Rukungiri have registered a hit-and-run fatal accident involving an unknown motor vehicle and a pedestrian one
Murisa Siragi aged 45 years a resident of Kateramo village Bugangari sub-county Rukungiri district.
It’s Alleged that, on 25/08/2023 at around 06:00 am, at Rwenyerere village Bugangari sub county along Bugangari Rukungiri road, while the late was lying on the road drunk, a speeding motor vehicle rolled over him leaving him dead on spot.
Later the family of the deceased went and removed the body from the scene.
Police were informed, the scene was visited and documented, and the body was recovered from the family and delivered to Rwakabengo Health Centre Mortuary for postmortem.
While at the scene, a bottle of waragi was recovered and a cigarette believed to be for the late.
