The territorial police in Kisoro registered a single serious accident involving motor vehicle registration number UBG 645E Toyota Hiace black in color being driven by one
Batumbya Dan 46 years old a Muganda resident of Kigombya village Gulu ward Mukono district that happened today at around 08:00 am, at Kibande village Muhindura parish Kanaba sub county Kisoro district along Kabale Kisoro road.
It’s alleged that, while the motor vehicle was coming from Rwamwanja refugee camp via Kabale to Kisoro with 17 adult passengers, 6 juveniles, and 3 Ugandans including the driver, on reaching Kibande village Muhindura parish Kanaba sub county along Kabale Kisoro road, sloping the corners, failed to negotiate the corner and overturned the motor vehicle on the right side of the road.
The scene was visited by Asp Kushaba Micheal and his team, the victims were rushed to Mutolere Hospital and Kisoro Hospital using an ambulance and Kisoro police patrol car UP 7644, a motor vehicle towed to Kisoro Central police station pending IOV inspection.
Primarily cause of the accident was reckless driving and over speeding.
