Kabale diocese has revealed that the 2023 Bishop’s Annual Appeal Fund (BAAF) will be organized to raise funds to build a new University in the diocese.

This was on Sunday by the Kabale diocesan Vicar General Monsignor John Viane during a confirmation service at Christ the King parish Rukungiri.

Monsignor Viane hailed Christians for the zeal and willingness to support the programs of the diocese, especially the Bishop’s annual appeal fund.

Every year, Kabale diocese collects funds from Christians, under the Bishop’s annual appeal fund to develop some projects in the diocese.

Last year, funds collected under BAAF were used to construct Centenary Bank building in Rukungiri which is yet to be opened.

Monsignor John said that as the diocese, this year they are focusing on enhancing the education standards in the diocese. He added that the university will be named St Ignatius.

Zephyr Karyeija, the Christ the King Parish council chairperson hailed the diocese for constructing centenary Bank building in Rukungiri which he said will foster development.

He added that as Christ the King parish, they are ready to support all the programs of the diocesan.
