Students of Victory International College in Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality, have been urged to put God first in their lives in order to avoid actions that bring sorrow to themselves and their parents.
The call was made on 26th June 2025 during a spiritual retreat held at the school. The retreat, which was aimed at nurturing the students spiritually, featured Rev. Emmanuel Taremwa, the chaplain of Gwabukoba Secondary School, who encouraged learners to engage in activities that make their parents proud and contribute positively to their personal growth.
Rev. Taremwa emphasized that such retreats are vital in helping students stay away from worldly temptations and guiding them toward repentance and a better future.
The director of Victory International College, Rwenyetsya Fabius, expressed gratitude for the successful event. He advised students to uphold discipline, follow Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and continue living according to Biblical values even after leaving the institution.
Students who attended the retreat expressed appreciation, saying the conference inspired them to fear God and be more conscious of their behavior. They commended the school management and Rev. Emmanuel for organizing a transformative event that led many to accept Jesus and commit to a God-centered life.
