Police in Kabale are investigating the death of an unidentified male whose body was discovered along Nyakijumba-Mwanjari Road in Rushaki Cell, Southern Division of Kabale Municipality.
According to ASP Maate Elly, police spokesperson kigezi region, the body was found on the morning of 15th December 2025 and is believed to have been murdered during the night of 14th December 2025. The scene was reported to police by the area chairperson, Namara John Fisher.
A team from Kabale Police, including the K-9 unit led by the district CID officer D/ASP Tumwine Nelson, visited and processed the scene. The police dog was used to trace potential suspects, but no leads were found.
Witness statements have been recorded, and the body, which had fresh head injuries and was dressed in blood-stained clothes, was taken to Kabale Referral Hospital for postmortem examination.
Police investigations are ongoing, and anyone with missing relatives matching the description is urged to visit the hospital mortuary for identification.
