Kisoro Hospital is currently holding an unidentified body retrieved by fishermen from Lake Mulehe in Kisoro District.

The lake is situated between the Nyundo and Nyakabande sub-counties.

According to AIP Nestor Tumukwasibwe, a detective from the Kisoro Police, the fishermen reported the drowning incident on Monday at 6:30 AM.

Tumukwasibwe mentioned that preliminary investigations suggest the cause of death to be suicide.

He urged individuals facing challenges to seek guidance and counseling instead of considering suicide.

Kisoro District Assistant Fisheries Officer Augustine Baryaruha noted that this incident marks the third drowning in the lake within the last four months.
