Residents of Katenga Cell in Rwakabengo Ward, Southern Division, Rukungiri, were shocked this morning to discover the body of an unidentified person behind the Rukungiri main stadium, near the home of Canon Eva Katungwensi.
The body was first discovered by Canon Eva Katungwensi, who promptly informed the LC 1 chairperson, Gershom Nsiimomwe.
Gershom notified the police, who responded swiftly.
The police visited the scene, documented the incident, collected evidence, including blood-stained stones, and began an investigation.
Local residents told the police they did not hear any disturbances during the night.
The body has been taken to Rwakabengo Health Centre 3, and the police have committed to investigating the cause of the man’s death.
