Police in Mitooma District have commenced investigations into the death of two men following a bar brawl
The deceased have been identified as Julius Atwijukire and Gideo Twesigye both residents of Bushasha B3, Ryengyerero parish Rurehe s/c Mitooma District.
It is alleged that on the 5th of Febuary 2023, while at Matsiko’s bar, Twesigye assaulted Atwijukire with a piece of firewood killing him instantly after which the former was also clobbered by residents until he went into a coma.
Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson says police intervened, took both unconscious Twesigye and Atwijukire’s body to Mitooma health centre IV.
He adds that Twesigye died on arrival at the health centre and both bodies were taken to the mortuary for post-mortem.
