2 Deacons have been ordained in a colorful ceremony at Buhimba parish in Bushenyi.

The Archbishop while presiding over an ordination ceremony and church commissioning of St Joseph the worker catholic parish, Buhimba said that serving Christ with dignity justifies the person’s inner beauty.

The Archbishop of Mbarara Archdiocese His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha has appealed to newly ordained priests to serve the people of God with generosity.

The same function saw  Deacons, Luke Nyoreka, and Cosmas Namanya ordained to the priesthood and urged them to give sacraments and follow Jesus’s teachings in all walks of life.

Mbarara Archdiocese deputy Laity head, Eng Dr Silver Mugisha asked parents to always take their sons and daughters to seminaries and other vocations Schools as this will increase the number of people to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

Buhweju County Member of Parliament Francis Mwijukye appealed to the newly ordained priests to exercise their duties they have been called for, where he said religious leaders play a vital role in transforming communities in line with government programs.
