Nicholas Ainembabazi, a security guard employed by Millennium Security Company, is currently in custody in Rukungiri, suspected of the murder of 22-year-old Kenneth Masanyu, a resident of Kyobugombe cell, Kamahuri parish, Rugarama North sub-county, Ntungamo district.

According to reports, on the night of March 5th, 2024, at approximately 10:00 PM, the deceased, who was visiting his uncle Bitomwe Charles, inadvertently entered a banana plantation near the home of Bitama Feredansi, his grandmother, in Rugoma cell, Southern division, Kebisoni town council.

This plantation was under the supervision of guards from Millennium Security Company, identified Nicholas Ainembabazi.

Upon encountering Ainembabazi, the deceased allegedly failed to comply with instructions to sit down, leading Ainembabazi to shoot him, resulting in his immediate death.

Following the incident, Eria Tumwesigye, the area manager of Millennium Security Company, informed the police at CPS Rukungiri.

The police conducted an examination of the crime scene, gathered statements from witnesses, and arrested Ainembabazi for further questioning.

The body of the deceased was transported to Rwakabengo HC III mortuary for postmortem examination.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
