Matsiko William, also known as Sebikaru, has been apprehended by the police in connection with the fatal incident where he allegedly struck and killed Justus Muhwezi, the former manager of Kings Hotel.
The Rukungiri District Police Commander, SSP Musa Tibakirana, reported that Sebikaru was captured in Kampala on December 27, 2023, with the assistance of the flying squad police and the cooperation of Rukungiri police.
On the morning of December 28, Rukungiri police retrieved Sebikaru from Kampala and currently holds him in custody at Rukungiri Central Police Station.
The incident occurred on December 18, 2023, along the Rukungiri-Ntungamo road, where Matsiko, driving a Toyota Harrier with registration UBH 373V, allegedly struck Muhwezi, who was riding a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with registration UFM373V while heading to work around 11 am.
According to Tibakirana, investigations into the matter are underway, and Matsiko William, alias Sebikaru, will be brought to court soon to face charges related to the offenses he is accused of committing.
