Buyanja sub county, Rukungiri district and the country at large is in mourning following the death of Keith Muhakanizi , the Permanent Secretary in the Office of Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda and former secretary to the treasury.
Muhakanizi died from Milan hospital in Italy where he has been receiving treatment for the past three days.
He was flown to Italy on Sunday in a critical condition.
Keith Muhakanizi is a resident of Kitojo parish Buyanja sub county , Rukungiri district but also had a home and farms in Lyantonde district.
He a son to late Rev. Kosia Kajwengye and the late Zeridah Kajwengye.
The Rubabo county legislator Hon Naboth Namanya last evening described the Keith Muhakanizi as a hard working individual who loved his area because he contributed much towards the development of Buyanja sub county and Rukungiri district at large .
Maj Gen Jim Muhwezi the minister of security who doubles as the Rujumbura county legislator also has described the late Keith Muhakanizi as a friend and developmental man whom he worked with for a long time.
The Late Keith Muhakanizi recently donated 174 iron sheets to roof Buyanja sub county headquarters which are still under construction in Buhandagazi trading center.
