Hon. Medius Natukunda Kaharata, the Woman Member of Parliament for Rukungiri district, on Wednesday generously donated paint to the Kigambo Prayer Centre in Nyakibale, located in the Eastern division of Rukungiri municipality.
The donation, delivered by Clare Ainembabazi, was warmly received by the authorities at the prayer center who expressed their gratitude for the support.
Hon. Natukunda responded to a plea from the believers at the church who had sought assistance for painting their prayer center. In her message, she emphasized the importance of supporting God’s work to ensure that people have a conducive place for fellowships and crusades.
Fred Mucunguzi, the Eastern Division district councilor and leader of Christians at Kigambo Prayer Centre Nyakibale, extended his thanks to Hon. Natukunda for the valuable support. He highlighted that acquiring the necessary paint was financially challenging for them, and the donation has alleviated a significant burden. Mucunguzi also mentioned that Hon. Natukunda had previously supported them with widow glasses for their church, urging others to contribute to completing the construction of their place.
Initiated in 2017, Kigambo Prayer Centre serves as a venue for organizing various crusades, including the Nyakibale denary and Kabale diocese. These events attract people from all parts of Kigezi, fostering a sense of community and providing a space for collective prayer. Mucunguzi emphasized that miracles, such as healing the sick, have been witnessed at the prayer center.
Juliet Ayebazibwe, speaking on behalf of the Christians who attend prayers at Kigambo Prayer Centre, expressed their collective effort in raising funds for the refurbishment and beautification of their prayer center. She expressed relief and gratitude for the donation of paint, which will contribute to making their church an even better center for prayers.
