Rukungiri District has initiated the recruitment of supervisors and invigilators in preparation for the upcoming Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). A total of 6,686 candidates have been registered for this year’s exams.

Lyidia Tushemerirwe, the Principal Inspector of Schools in Rukungiri, confirmed that the exam timetable has been released, and numerous primary school teachers have already applied for these roles. However, she emphasized that the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will determine the exact number of supervisors and invigilators needed.

The district has 112 examination centers, with each center scheduled to have one supervisor. The allocation of invigilators will depend on the number of candidates at each center, with one invigilator for every 25 pupils.
