Nayebare Micheal, a resident of Nyamubogore cell, Nyeibingo Parish, Kebisoni Sub County, Rukungiri District, and a Boda Boda rider at Kebisoni Boda Boda stage narrowly escaped a life-threatening incident when he was assaulted with a hammer to the head.
Currently hospitalized at Karoli Lwanga Nyakibale Hospital, Nayebare Micheal had been hired by two individuals last night to transport them to Nyarushanje Sub County, Rukungiri District. However, as they reached certain areas of Nyabushenyi Parish, Nyarushanje Sub County, he was attacked with a hammer. The assailants fled the scene, taking his red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with registration number UFY 067S, mobile phone, 100,000/= in cash, and his jacket.
Following the incident, Nayebare Micheal alerted his colleagues from Kebisoni Sub County Boda Boda stage. They organized themselves into two groups, with one taking Kisiizi road and the other Ntungamo road. The suspects were subsequently intercepted in Rubaare, Ntungamo.
Upon catching them, one of the suspects managed to escape, while the other was apprehended and met a tragic end as he was killed and burnt. Meanwhile, Nayebare Micheal is in critical condition and undergoing treatment at Karoli Lwanga Nyakibale Hospital.
