The police in Rukiga have arrested a 28-year-old Tumwesigyire Havad, alias Nguru, a resident of Nyakatojo II cell Nyakashebeya parish Kashambya sub-county of Rukiga district, allegedly for having carnal knowledge of a 4-year-old girl.
It’s alleged that on August 20, 2024, at around 1930 hrs, the mother of the victim gave the victim a mobile phone to use as a touch to go to the toilet, then she went and delayed in the toilet for about 10 minutes, and on coming back, told the mother that NGURU, the neighbor, had urinated on her legs.
When the mother checked on her legs, she found suspected semen around her private part, and her skirt was wet.
She immediately went and reported to the police that the case file was open.
scene visited by a team of police officers, statements were recorded from witnesses, and the suspect was accordingly arrested to help in investigations.
Inquiries are ongoing and, upon completion, will be arraigned before courts of law to answer charges accordingly.
