The LC5 Chairperson of Rubanda District, Steven Ampeire Kasyaba, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to Boona FM and its listeners for their generous support towards vulnerable communities.

This was during the official handover of items collected through the Boona Easter Charity Drive, which were delivered to the Batwa community in Rubanda District.

The donated items including food, laundry detergent, and clothing, were contributed by individuals from Rukungiri District who responded to Boona FM’s 2026 Easter charity appeal. The support is estimated to be worth millions of shillings. Kasyaba commended the spirit of generosity demonstrated by the donors, noting that such acts of kindness reflect compassion and unity among communities.

He also applauded Boona FM for providing a reliable platform that mobilizes support for those in need. Rubanda District leaders also praised the people of Rukungiri for their willingness to support the vulnerable Batwa community.

They highlighted the importance of collective efforts in improving the livelihoods of marginalized groups and recognized Boona FM’s continued commitment to extending help to communities in Rubanda whenever the need arises.

Members of the Batwa community who received the donations expressed gratitude to Boona FM and its listeners for remembering them and responding to their needs. They noted that the support would go a long way in improving their daily living conditions.
