Rugarama Financial Services SACCO has officially opened a new branch in Buyanja Sub-county, Rukungiri District, with management calling for unity and collaboration among residents to use the SACCO services for development.
Speaking shortly after the launch, the SACCO General Manager, Peace Ninsiima, commended the unity and cooperation demonstrated by residents of Rukungiri, especially those from Kamwekakye in Buyanja Sub-county where the new branch has been established.
She encouraged residents across Rukungiri District to utilize the Buyanja branch by saving with the SACCO and applying for low-interest loans aimed at improving household incomes, boosting agricultural production, and supporting people involved in various sectors of the economy.
Ninsiima also pledged the SACCO’s commitment to building strong working relationships with the people of Rukungiri. She further appreciated Boona FM staff and management for their support during the branch opening.
The Chairperson of Rugarama Financial Services SACCO, Ismail Muhereza, expressed gratitude for the hospitality shown by residents of Buyanja. He called upon more people from across Rukungiri District to join the SACCO by opening accounts at the Buyanja branch.
Muhereza assured residents that the SACCO is fully registered and operates under official SACCO guidelines, emphasizing that it is committed to delivering quality financial services and benefits that support community development.
Meanwhile, as part of the celebrations marking the official opening of the branch, Rugarama SACCO FC played a friendly match against Boona FM FC at Buyanja Town Council Playground.
Rugarama SACCO FC secured a 1-0 victory after Muyambi David converted a penalty in the 37th minute, giving his side the lead they maintained until the final whistle.
The friendly match also served as an activation campaign for Boona FM, mobilizing listeners and fans ahead of the Ekigutuuro Rwatangoma main event scheduled for 11th July at Rukungiri Main Stadium.
