The district saw a significant improvement in performance, with 249 pupils achieving first grade, 1,609 in second grade, 932 in third grade, and 316 in fourth grade. Additionally, 278 pupils were ungraded, and 76 candidates were registered absent.

A total of 71 sitting centers were used, comprising 68 government schools and 3 private institutions.

Mrs. Komuhangi highlighted that Rubanda district ranked 96th out of 177 districts with an overall pass rate of 91.17%, a marked increase of 6.17% from the 2023 PLE results. The failure rate stood at 8.02%, and absenteeism was recorded at 2.2%.

The District Education Officer, Mr. Serununi Francis, expressed his gratitude to the Government of Uganda for ensuring that pupils receive quality education. He commended the efforts of the district governor, Mr. Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba, who had lobbied for the provision of desks, toilets, and roofing materials for primary schools.

Mr. Serununi emphasized the importance of headteachers disseminating results, whether positive or negative, to foster transparency. He noted that Rubanda district had performed slightly better than in 2023, with an average of 246 pupils achieving first grade.

In a call to action, Mr. Serununi urged headteachers to work hard and improve enrollment, pointing out that the new curriculum allows schools with 15 or more pupils to register for P.7 exams.

Mr. Serununi also recognized top-performing schools, such as Buniga Primary School, Nyaruhanga Primary School, and Rwere Primary School, for their outstanding achievements.

The Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Kwizera Alex, urged schools that performed poorly to engage in benchmarking activities to improve results for the next examination cycle.
