The Rubabo county member of parliament Hon Naboth Namanya has today donated food stuffs to 25 families whose shops were burnt by fire on Friday 13/01/2022 in Kampala trading center in Nyakyishenyi sub county Rukungiri district .
The food stuffs included 1250 kilograms of maize flour and 125 kilograms of beans.
Each family received 50 kg of maize flour and 5kgs of beans as relief food to help them in the interim as district disaster committee is compiling a list which will be submitted the office of the prime minister for further help from the government.
Namanya asked the leaders of Kampala trading center to coordinate and cooperate with the district officials in compiling the list of the affected business people so that they can get more relief food and items from the office of the prime minister.
Lovence Asimwe the Nyakyishenyi sub county speaker thanked the legislator for his quick response towards the affected families because some don’t have what to eat or where to sleep as their property was completely razed.
