Christians have been urged to embrace love for one another and abandon hatred and enmity, just as God loved the world. The call was made by Reverend Ronald Timuzigu, the Parish Priest of St. John’s Kyabashenyi Church of Uganda in Bwongyera Archdeaconry, South Ankole Diocese, Ntungamo District, during a thanksgiving ceremony held by Boona Radio’s Agent, Winnie Agaba, and Arthur Byarugaba.

The thanksgiving service was organized to thank God for the reopening of Boona Radio, which had earlier been closed. Reverend Timuzigu commended the staff and stakeholders of Boona Radio for remaining patient and prayerful during the period of closure. He also expressed gratitude to Christians from Kyabashenyi Parish who prayed and fasted for the station’s reopening, saying that their prayers were answered.

The man of God noted that Boona Radio has greatly contributed to the development of families and communities by encouraging hard work and promoting unity among listeners. He emphasized that the radio’s existence is part of God’s plan and that no amount of hatred can destroy what God has established.

Reverend Timuzigu further urged believers not to repay evil with evil but to pray for their enemies so that they may live to witness their progress. He assured the congregation that since God is the cornerstone of Boona Radio, the station will continue to stand firm and fulfill its divine purpose.

Representing Boona Radio, John Jones Marula Rutekama thanked the public for their continued love and support for the station. He advised listeners to control their tongues, warning that misuse of speech often leads to conflict, yet when used positively, it can be a powerful tool for development.

Meanwhile, Winnie Agaba and Arthur Byarugaba expressed joy and gratitude to God for the station’s return, noting that its absence had left a gap in the community. They applauded Boona Radio for its many developmental programs that have empowered people in Kyabashenyi and beyond.

The thanksgiving event ended with a renewed call for love, unity, and continued prayer for Boona Radio’s growth and service to the people.
